Our history of cabling installation began in 1995 as a licensed contractor for National Cable TV Companies throughout Florida. As our experience and requests for business increased, so did the services that we offered. The continued increase in new services led us down a path to create a stronger name for our company to better reflect the changes in our company and what we offer. The name CrossWire Limited Energy Systems, Inc was established in 2022 to better expand our exposure to New Construction and commercial markets as our business continued to grow steadily in that direction.
At CrossWire, we pride ourselves on our attention to detail, commitment to customer satisfaction through all phases of the project, from initial communications and call backs, to follow-ups and design assistance. While some companies are focused heavily on growth of the company itself, we are more concerned with personal growth of our team, and our clients. We believe that when individuals grow in a positive direction, so does the work we perform and the relationships we develop with our clients. It is this mindset that enables us to "keep things simple and straight-forward". Unlike many "Tech" companies; We DO NOT over-sell products or services to our clients to maximize profits. Although we will discuss the options available to better educate our clients, we like to ensure our clients are confident and comfortable prior to beginning each project, regardless of how large or small the task may be.
There are many factors affecting the total cost of a new camera system. But we take pride in keeping things simple and transparent, so here you go...
If you're a residential or Small Business client looking for a NEW Camera System for your home or office, you can expect to spend somewhere between $100 to $350 per camera for basic high-definition cameras. If you desire advanced camera features such as PTZ (Pan, Tilt, and Zoom features that allow you to "drive" the camera and "look around"), you can expect to pay more, perhaps $450 to $1000 per camera. Installation labor costs will usually run between $105 and $200 per camera location, depending on the type of installation and method of installing the camera. So, in a nutshell, you can estimate your "basic" camera system to cost you between $205 to $550 per camera INSTALLED. Keep in mind this may not reflect the cost of the main recording device, known as the DVR or NVR. The price for the main unit varies greatly depending on how many cameras (or "channels") it can support, the amount of digital storage space, etc. (See below)
For larger business, such as commercial properties, New Construction Projects, Apartment or Townhome communities, or very large multiple structure properties like campuses or business parks, the cost-per-camera may be higher depending on specific details and requirements of the project, such as permitting, wireless connectivity, conduit needs, etc. If you have a larger project in mind, drop us a line! We'd love to discuss your project with you and give you some options!
Ok...back to basic pricing...
As mentioned above, in a typical Camera System, you will also need the Recorder. This is called the DVR (Digital Video Recorder used with coax cable type cameras) or NVR (Network Video Recorder, used with IP cameras over Data Cable). Both Systems work well for most applications, however NVR's offer more advanced features. DVR's can cost between $300 for a 4 camera System, up to $2000 for a 32 Camera System. There are several features within this range of pricing. But this information is just to set some examples of New System Pricing.
There are also Cloud-Based Systems that do not involve a recorder being present on-site (other than the cameras). The cameras connect to a local network via data cabling or wireless connectivity and the recorded video footage is stored on a server offsite that is managed and hosted for a monthly fee "per camera". These per-camera fees are based on how long you would like the storage to be available for viewing and playback.
Yes, in most cases. however there must be active internet service at the same location or residence where the camera system is installed.
This depends on the type of camera system you decide to have installed, as well as hardware availability. Typically we can be onsite within a couple days of your initial call to perform a site survey, and then ususally complete the job entirely within 2 to 3 weeks, often shorter for relativiely smaller jobs, or if all materials you request are in-stock.
